FAQs

The Neurotoxin injections are shots that use a toxin to prevent a muscle from moving for a limited time. These shots are often used to smooth wrinkles on the face by stopping your muscles from contracting and forming wrinkles. They're also used to treat neck spasms, sweating, overactive bladder, lazy eye and other conditions.

During a treatment session, we ask you to frown or scrunch up your face so we can see where the wrinkles and lines are most pronounced. Then we inject a tiny amount of Botox o 10 minutes.

The needle used to administer Botox® is so small that most people report feeling a slight pinch or stinging sensation.

Yes, some people prefer to get numb before injection, but bear it in mind, it  prolongs your procedure by 30 Minutes and will cost you £20 more than actual price.

The effects are not permanent. Most treatments last about 4-6 months, although this varies among patients.

Botox® and fillers are two different types of injectables, which are both injected with a needle. The biggest difference between Botox® and fillers is that Botox® is used to reduce fine lines and wrinkles by paralysing the underlying muscles, fillers on the other hand will fill in wrinkles.

Botox injections do not work instantly, but most patients observe improvements in the appearance of their skin after just 3–4 days. Patients can expect to see the full effect around 14 days after their Botox injection.

There are plenty of alternative treatments to Botox.  Many new patients contact our practice wanting to have their lines and wrinkles treated but are not interested in Botox. Alternative treatments that we offer at our practice include injections containing hyaluronic acid, such as dermal fillers and skin booster, or energy-based treatments such as high-frequency ultrasound (HIFU)radio frequency  (V Max) Radio frequency microneedling.

Not everyone is a good candidate for Botox. If you have a neuromuscular condition like myasthenia gravis, you're taking certain medicines, or you're pregnant or breastfeeding. If you are in poor general health, your skin is very thick or you have existing muscle weakness in the proposed injection site, you may not be a good candidate for Botox.  If you suffer from mental health issues.
